Founded around 1560 by Hélie de FRATEAU, a local lord, le Moulin de la Veyssière has kept its authenticity through the years. This is the last water powered mill of the Vern Valley which specializes in the artisanal manufacturing of walnut and hazelnut oil.
Belonging to the ELIAS family since 1857, our mill was used successively for the making of flour, bread and walnut and hazelnut oil.
The mill opens its doors to you all year long and without appointment. We offer a one hour-guided tour that will make you discover the beauty of old stone and our local gastronomy.
Located on the banks of the river « L’Isle », Caviar de Neuvic breeds its sturgeons with respect of the environment. Come and discover the precise and precious gestures that allow the preparation of caviar: the best way to get prepared for tasting! Tours are available all year round by reservation only. The Domaine welcomes groups from 10 people.
